Overview

An interactive article on the FIFA World Cup 2026, created with a team of journalists, designers and developers including myself. Readers enter their height and weight, and the article matches them with the footballer whose build is closest to theirs. The article features a library of more than 1,700 player portraits, spanning football icons from past and present. I illustrated 70+ of them.

The outcomePortrait featuresThis is a snapshot and close‑up of the portraits I had done. I had to think creatively about what kind of features should be seen, what features make each football or soccer player stand out so that viewers would be able to recognise them, what should be in solid black, dotted lines and many more.

Overview

A print adaptation of The World Cup Memorable Moments game, based on its interactive online version. In a ‘Where’s Waldo’ style challenge, readers search a single illustrated spread for 26 memorable moments from the tournament. I contributed illustrated elements to the page, converted its colours to the correct CMYK values for print and did Final Artwork (FA) production before it was sent for print.
